Our Experience

John A. Rotondo, P.E. - John Rotondo's breadth of experience over the past 18 years includes not only the technical and operational facets of the business, but also the understanding of precast markets throughout the eastern United States. Beginning his career in 1987 at the Connecticut facility as a structural engineer and production manager, John has since held key managerial roles in the Pennsylvania, Florida and Virginia facilities. In 1997, as general manager of Oldcastle's precast manufacturing facility in Florida, he orchestrated the turn-around of the operation through the re-staffing and development of a new core management team, the addition of new product lines such as mono-twin box culverts, and the introduction of new manufacturing techniques. In 2000, John had relocated to Oldcastle's Virginia facility where he focused on the development of the environmental products market for Oldcastle Precast. Over the past 5 years, he has built strong ties with state and local environmental officials facilitating local regulatory standards. These experiences have not only given John the opportunity to develop relationships with key market segments throughout the eastern United States, but also to gain valuable institutional knowledge of the inner workings of state and local governments that will prove useful in this venture.

Richard J. Rotondo – Richard Rotondo has 27 years of experience in the design and manufacture of precast concrete products and structures with the last 10 years specializing in environmental products. In 1983, when A. Rotondo & Son's purchased Penn-Cast Products, he was instrumental in the acquisition and conversion of the Penn-Cast facilities to regional dominance. During his early years of leadership at the Penn-Cast facilities, Richard introduced new products such as box culverts and modular prison cells through design and production innovation. These products and production techniques have aided the facility in achieving double-digit growth each year over a seven-year period. As General Manager of the Penn-Cast Virginia facility for the last fifteen years, Richard has converted the operation, which was once a small utility product company, to the largest provider of environmental products in the Mid Atlantic region. New product development has continued to be the backbone for this growth with the development of the Omega 3-sided bridge, DC Sand-filter and Delaware Sand-filter systems.
